Wood Mackenzie
During my time at Wood Mackenzie, I worked as a Senior Product Designer. I led design across multiple scrum teams for the "Lens" product, ensuring design consistency. I also conducted user research and engaged directly with customers to understand their needs. A key part of my role involved shaping the product vision and developing a design system from the ground up. In my final four months there, I also stepped up as Acting Head of Design, assuming management responsibilities and collaborating with Product Managers to define scope and strategy for new business initiatives.
Upstream Oil and Gas: Valuations Workflow
I led the design of the Valuations workflow, which empowered users to create customised price scenarios and apply them to our oil and gas data. This enabled users to generate their own unique financial valuations of assets or companies.
This project involved close collaboration with Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build and test prototypes with customers, ensuring iterative improvements before engineering development.
Upstream Oil and Gas: Portfolio Workflow
I was responsible for the design of the Portfolio workflow, allowing users to create tailored views of companies by adding or removing specific assets. A key feature was also enabling users to apply their defined price scenarios to these newly modelled companies.
This iterative design process involved collaboration with Product Managers and SMEs, and prototypes were tested with customers to refine the solution prior to implementation.
Short-Term Power in Lens

I undertook a conceptual project to integrate Short-Term Power data into the Lens platform, which required adapting the interface to handle hourly data instead of the historical weekly cadence.
I facilitated and participated in a design sprint with SMEs, Product Managers, and Engineers to explore solutions for navigating hourly data, with concepts then rigorously tested with actual clients for validation.
Hydrocarbon Design system
I actively contributed to the Hydrocarbon design system, focusing on creating detailed specifications for reusable components.
This work ensured consistency in the user experience across the Lens platform and other products developed by Wood Mackenzie, accelerating development efforts.
